I’m proud to announce that this is the 50th strip of Plunder! Nearly one year ago I started the tale of the two smoothie baron slackers, and it’s been a fun journey thus far. In the spirit of this milestone I’m proud to announce the Facebook 100 campaign. Now is the time to share your support for this dorky webcomic and get your friends to start following on Facebook. So spread the word by liking, sharing, commenting, and by word of mouth. The referrer of the 100th like will receive the prize of the original print of their choice, so don’t delay! This comic is my baby and the only way I’ll get to make something of it is if the word gets out. Now go and make Plunder not just another webcomic, but its own fandom. I now degree that all our readers shall henceforth known as Plunderers. I’m counting on you, Fred is counting on you, Jack and Clyde are counting on you. Make us proud, and don’t forget the rewards to those who are loyal.
The last comic was uploaded as a JPEG, and it looks like it’s visible on smartphones now. I guess smartphones don’t like GIFs, even though I read that GIFs work best on the computer. I was considering going back and reloading all the comics as JPEGs, but the task seemed too monumental at this stage, so I decided to just upload my new comics in JPEG format.
I’ve been trying to find ways to promote Plunder, and I just recently got it listed on webcomicz.com. I need your help. Right now I’m at the end of the popularity line, but you would go and vote for my comic then I would rise in the rankings. Follow the link below and then scroll down and vote.
I’ve been trying to smooth out the look of the comic, and things are progressing. I started scanning my drawings in color, and then selecting the darker tones and converting them to black. Now my lines are sharper and not so pixelated. I’m still trying to find the balance in uploading my art, so that it looks smooth on the web.
